Metadata Explorer for SAP Data Intelligence
The Metadata Explorer main page has a number of cards that can assist you in getting to your desired location. Whether you want to search for data on a connection, construct data preparations, profile or publish a dataset, set up rules or a business lexicon, monitor tasks, or alter your user preferences, the home page will take you there.
You may access the Metadata Explorer by clicking Metadata Explorer on the SAP Data Intelligence Launchpad. The Metadata Explorer’s main page is made up of numerous tiles that lead to various portions of the Metadata Explorer.
Rules
tile has a link to a list of rule categories where you can create your own rules. The Rulebooks link will take you to a rulebook where you can organise rules for a specific business purpose, such as Customer Validation. You may also design a dashboard and scorecards to evaluate data quality or trend scores. Examine your links to find the datasets you want to work with. A dataset can also have rules and rulebooks linked with it.
Glossary of Business Terms
A link to the overview page is included in the Business Glossary tile, which allows you to add terms and categories and link them to Metadata Explorer objects. The glossary will assist you in understanding the terms used in your firm. Having the terms defined and grouped into categories will help you find related terms and items while searching the glossary.
Monitor
The Monitor tile links to the Monitoring page, which shows a list of tasks that have been done or are in the process of being completed. It also has a link to the Discovery Dashboard, which displays a snapshot of data from your dataset, including memory use, dataset distribution over connections, and profiling, catalog, and rules metrics.
Preferences of Users
The Favorite Catalog Folders tile offers links to the catalog folders you’ve designated as favorites. By navigating to your options, you may also alter the program’s look as well as the default displays for the library, connections, and search results.
Administration
The Administration tile will be shown to users who have administrative access. It has a connecting link that you may use to profile and extract lineage. Another link takes you to the manage publication page, where you may add, alter, and delete publications as well as control the content of the catalogue. You may manage your data preparations by clicking the preparations link, which will take you to a page where you can duplicate, update, and delete existing preparations. You can also look at where tags are being used and add, change, or remove tags. You’ll be sent to a page where you can create and manage recurring tasks if you click the scheduled tasks link.
SAP Data Hub vs. SAP Data Intelligence
One of Walldorf’s most recent cloud services is SAP Data Intelligence. It is built on the SAP Cloud Platform and includes all of the capabilities of SAP Data Hub. As a result, the service may be referred to as “SAP Data Hub as a Service” or a cloud-based version of SAP Data Hub.
The amount of functions offered, on the other hand, is substantially more. The SAP Leonardo Machine Learning Foundation, for example, is included in SAP Data Intelligence. A significant component in this is the Machine Learning Scenario Manager. It allows you to organise, provision, and run numerous machine learning objects from a single location (such as models and pipelines).
Companies that already use SAP Data Hub and want to expand their capabilities do not need SAP Data Intelligence.
